A piece of heaven

Our stay was everything we could hope for and more! The property has breathtaking panoramic views no matter where you are inside and outside. It’s within walking and driving distance of trails, fishing, and scenic/historical sites. We were looking for a place to completely decompress and rejuvenate and I assure you, this property is so beautiful you cannot even remember your daily stresses while here. Our favorite days here were staying at the home, sitting on the deck in the afternoon breeze watching the hummingbirds, and taking in the views.
The Nesbitt’s are incredibly kind and helpful! They go out of their way to ensure your stay is what you are hoping it will be. They are very quick to respond, and answer any and all questions you have.
The home itself is gorgeous! So incredibly comfortable and there’s no way you won’t feel right at home. Very clean, fitted with everything you could possibly want or need, and very much as described!! This home is a gem, and I’ve never enjoyed a vacation so much! We will be returning! There isn’t any aspect of this experience that doesn’t rate 5 stars from the hosts to the home, location, and views! It has found a special place in our hearts!

Situated in the Upper Madison Valley in Sportsman's Paradise, Slide Mountain Ranch is a custom home on 20 acres enjoyed by vacation guests since 2006. Within miles of this home you will find unlimited recreational opportunities. Experience world-class trout fishing on the Madison River or if you prefer lake fishing, Wade Lake, Cliff Lake, Elk Lake, Hebgen Lake and Quake Lake are just a short drive away. Take a day off from fishing and enjoy hiking, biking, bird and wildlife watching on the public lands surrounding this home. Walk from the south east corner of the property into the Gallatin National Forest or Yellowstone National Park is a beautiful 30 minute drive away. There are 4 mountain ranges in view of the house, each with several nearby trailheads.
With a cozy, rustic feel and all the modern amenities, Slide Mountain Ranch is the perfect vacation getaway. Bring your friends and family and experience paradise!
Main Level: What this location has to offer is just the beginning for this magnificent home. This home is everything you would expect to find and more in a place called “paradise.” As you walk in from the large wrap-around deck you can not help but notice all the custom wood and log details found throughout the home.
Your eyes are immediately drawn to the wall of windows framing the Madison Range and inviting the Montana sunshine into the open living space.
The open floor-plan on the main level is ideal for visiting with family and friends after a day on the river or in the mountains. The vaulted wood ceilings, radiant floor heating and wood-burning fireplace fill the home with inviting warmth.
The bright living and dining area as well as the open kitchen are situated to capture the views created by the massive windows.
The laundry room, a spacious bedroom with wood beamed ceilings and a full bathroom with slate and wood accents complete this level.
Loft: High above the main living area, up the custom wood staircase you will find the spacious master suite. The knotty pine flooring, vaulted wood ceilings and numerous windows continue into this cozy space.
In the master bathroom is a jetted tub and separate shower surrounded by slate and wood as well as a one-of-a-kind vanity and fixtures.
This space is the perfect retreat after a long day of outdoor activities or an evening of visiting with family and friends.
Walkout Basement: This home is finished with a full walkout basement. This level boasts the same mountain views and custom details as found throughout the rest of the home. A spacious family room with entertainment system, third airy bedroom and another bathroom are all located on this level. The unique finished concrete floor with radiant floor heating makes this space the perfect recreation area.
The deck surrounds three sides of the home offering views of the Centennial, Gravelly, Madison and Henry's Mountain Ranges. There is seating for eight and a large propane-fired grill right outside the kitchen door.
Security: The security cameras on the property only monitor traffic on the service lane and driveway. No cameras are inside the house.
