The local lakes, Cliff & Wade, Henry's, Hebgen and Quake Lakes, are close for fishing, swimming and boating. A short hike down a hill (about 100 yards) to the world famous stretch of the Madison River known as the Channels and Slide allows exclusive "property owner" access to the western side of the river and for a "wilderness" experience. Hike up Sheep Creek trail for a stunning view of nature.
The cabin is on 20 acres with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. It offers total privacy, exclusive Madison River access and unmatched mountain and valley views with lots of wildlife. Sheep Creek road is a Forest service maintained road that is the main road and leads to the Sheep Creek trail head.
You will see antelope, Golden eagles, Rocky Mountain goats and more on or from the cabin most days. Seasonally, you will see Bighorn sheep, deer, wolves, bears, elk, moose, otters, badgers, foxes and other species. You can walk from the cabin to the trail head, along the river or to the brink of the Slide.
