3 Bedroom House in Monticello
Cabin House is located at beautiful Lake Cumberland near Monticello, KY. This is a 3 bedroom house with 2 bathrooms. 1 bathroom is on the first level shared by the master bedroom and the 2nd bath is in the basement shared by the 2 bedrooms down there. I chose to place a king bed in the master upstairs and a king bed in one of the downstairs bedroom with a sliding barn door. The 3rd bedroom has a double bunk bed that was made handmade by me and for adults with 6x6 post. It is sturdy. Each room has a dresser for clothes. There is a closet in the hallway in the basement if you need to hang anything up. Along with a closet upstairs. Each TV has access to Netflix. I also have Roku on the downstairs bedroom TV. The Samsung TV in the master bedroom has TV Plus on it and Netflix.
There is a lean to under pole barn. It is down the concrete drive at backside of the house that turns to gravel. It is down a hill and I recommend 4x4, truck, or SUV to drive down that drivepath on the backside of the house. The pull through driveway is easy access for everyone. I have lots of room for parking. There is a fire pit. Bring your own firewood and fire starter.
There is an eat in kitchen with 6 stools and outdoor seating for 6 with a kids picnic table.
I have keurig, George foreman grill, crockpot, toaster, microwave, oven, stove, and a refrigerator along with salt and pepper.
What is provided during your stay: 2-3 trash bags, hand soap, dish soap, 2 washer pods, 2 dishwasher pods, dish towels/clothes, hand and bath towels are all available free of charge.
There are beautiful sunrises off the closed porch, quiet and peaceful. When it rains you can see and hear the small waterfalls running off the mountain side. It is nestled among the trees next to land overseen by the Army Corp of Engineers. I live in the country with snakes and other types of bugs. I spray my house every spring and fall. Please watch out for copperheads in the area! My house gets lady bugs too and even scorpions. Yes Cumberland is known for them!
The house is located approximately 5 miles to sunset landing boat ramp. This is a Free boat ramp. No dock. If you should need to rent a boat, we are located close to the resorts at Conley Bottom, Beaver Creek, and Rowena. Just down the road is a private ramp at the loop. You can drive down and park ans walk down to the bottom to swim, kayak, take a small boat to it if you have a small truck.
If you should need anything texting or calling is the best way to communicate with me. The house is 15 minutes from a dollar general too. Monticello has a Walmart if you need anything big.
The area is very beautiful. Lots of hiking at Cumberland Falls and another Falls in Monticello.
