There is plenty of room to bring a boat, kayaks or a camper. The boat launch is just a mile down the road for the Noxon Reservoir. Many attractions like the Ross creek cedars and the swinging bridge at Kootenai Falls are near by.
Glacier National Park is about 3.5 hours away to the east. Rock lake in the Cabinet Wilderness area is one of our favorite hikes. Schweitzer Mountain ski resort is about an hour drive. Fine shopping and dining can be found below Schweitzer in Sandpoint, ID. The views on the drive there will blow you away as you follow the Clark Fork River to Lake Pend Oreille. Fishing and hunting opportunities abound in this region as it is a sportsman's paradise.
