Solitude, seclusion and total tranquility! Photos don’t begin to do this magnificent place justice! This executive level 2 bedroom+, 3 bath property is literally on the Salmon river with stellar mountain views of the beautiful Beaverhead range which is the Continental divide. There are 5 irrigated gorgeous acres with an abundance of mature trees and beautiful Wallace creek flows through the north end of property most times of the year. The wildlife is abundant and fascinating... including wild turkeys, deer, ducks, geese, owls, eagles, hawks, osprey, herons, etc. There is a HUGE outdoor patio with comfy furniture which expands the entire length of the east side of the house and there are magnificent views of the river and mountains from the patio and from every window inside the house. It's like you are literally on a boat! You can fish right off the property too-depending on water level. The house is fully furnished and equipped with everything you could imagine. The main house has 2 large bedrooms looking onto the river and there are 3 full baths. Plus, IF needed, there is a small upstairs overflow bedroom with 2 full beds (Note: low ceiling alert and this room tends to get warm in summer) This house is really best suitable for 2 - 4 adults.
The kitchen is really spacious and is totally equipped with everything that you may need and there is a nice breakfast bar as well to sit at plus a dining room table/chairs. This awesome property is pretty remote and totally private... yet it is located only 6.5 miles (less than 10 minutes) from shopping and dining in downtown Salmon. Come experience the magic of “The Rivers Edge” located right on the Salmon river! We would love to have you as our guests!

Summary: This was an amazing home and location. The views were spectacular, with mountain and river views. We enjoyed the visits from deer, watching the many birds and fishing in front of the house. Unfortunately there was a fire a few miles away and we were on a pre-evacuation alert 1/2 way through our booking. We ended up leaving a couple of days early as it became stressful waiting to see if we had to evacuate. We were very sad to leave as it was such a beautiful place. Jan made sure we were informed of what was happening with the fire and was gracious enough to refund some of the money we paid for the week. Would definitely go back again!
