Positive: I stayed at this hostel solo traveling and I had an amazing experience. The rooms and common areas were very clean, and the overall comfort level was 10/10. The hospitality was also 10/10 – the owners are incredibly friendly, helpful, funny, and always up for a nice conversation. They welcomed me warmly into their home, gave great tips and advice, and provided delicious, affordable food. They offer a Shuttle Service if needed/wanted. The hostel also has a school where you can take lessons or rent equipment (prices available upon request). There are fans in the rooms, mosquito nets over the beds, and two showers and two toilets. Plus, there’s a lovely cat, very friendly neighbour dogs, who come by to say hello if you like. As a solo traveler, I felt very comfortable and well taken care of. I would definitely come back anytime I’m in Kalpitiya again. A truly unique and special experience.
