Additionally, being in the heart of it all you can quickly access the local trail system managed by the Big Sky Community Organization. Find yourself winding along the historic Gallatin River as your drive to the entrance gates, the drive will take you about 45-minutes. You will enter Yellowstone National Park within 15-miles of Big Sky, you will proceed to drive to the West entrance gates to fully access Yellowstone. The section of the park you enter through as you are driving grants you access to several amazing hiking trails, additionally, you can fish the river but you MUST secure a Yellowstone National Park fishing permit to fish the river within the national park boundary lines.
